44. Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time[66].

But had they referred it to the Messenger and their men of authority, then surely they would have known its reality [264] from those who investigate and can draw conclusions [265]. And if there had been no bounty of Allah and His Mercy upon you, then surely you would have followed the devil, save a few of you [266].

And great is the grace of Allah upon you [351].
