83. And they ask you about Dhul-Qarnayn [192]. Say, "I will recite to you an account of him [193]."

84. We established him firmly on the earth and gave him the means to accomplish everything [194].

85. Then he followed a cause [195].

86. Until, when he reached the setting of the sun [196], he found it set in a spring of black muddy [197], and he found there a people. We said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [198] them or treat them with kindness."

87. He said, "As for him who wrongs, we shall surely punish him [199], then he will be returned to his Lord, and He will punish him with a severe punishment [200]."

88. As for him who believes in and does righteous work, he will have a reward that is good [201], and we will speak to him with ease in our command.

90.Until he reached the place where the sun rises [203], and he found it rising over a people who had no shelter from it [204].

91. Such is the case. And We have full knowledge of everything he had [205].
