172.And [O Beloved,] remember when your Lord brought forth from the loins of Adams children their descendants [396] and made them testify against their own selves [397], [saying], Am I not your Lord? They said, Yes, indeed, we bear witness [398], lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, Indeed, we were unaware of this [399].
