5. And when it is said to them: "Come, the Prophet of Allah will ask forgiveness for you," they turn aside their heads and you see them evading, while they are full of arrogance [16].

1. When the hypocrites come to you, [1] they say, "We bear witness [2] that you are certainly Allah’s Messenger." Allah indeed knows [3] that you are certainly His Messenger, but Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are certainly liars [4].
